Metso's Articles of association states about obligation to redeem shares
The shareholder’s obligation to redeem the shares in the Company entitled to redemption has been prescribed in accordance with the Finnish Securities Markets Act.
The Finnish Securities Markets Act (May 26, 1989/495) Section 10, Article 6 imposes an obligation on a shareholder in a listed company to make a public tender offer to purchase all the shares (and other securities entitling its holder to shares) when the shareholder's holding in the company increases above three-tenths or above one-half of the total voting rights attached to the shares of the company after the commencement of a public quotation of such shares. The obligations to make a tender offer will not be triggered if the above mentioned limits have been exceeded by a public tender offer, which has been made for all shares (or other securities entitling its holder to shares) of the target company.
